Dar arrives in Manila to attend Asean Regional Forum ministerial meeting

Since becoming a member in 2004, Pakistan has maintained an active role within the forum, consistently offering constructive contributions to its regional programmes and objectives,” the FO statement concluded.</p> <h2><a id="dar-meets-with-russian-bangladesh-fms" href="#dar-meets-with-russian-bangladesh-fms" class="heading-permalink" aria-hidden="true" title="Permalink"></a>Dar meets with Russian, Bangladesh FMs</h2> <p>On the sidelines of the Asean meeting, Dar met with Bangladesh FM Khalilur Rehman, who is also the president-elect of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly, the FO said.</p> <p>The ministers “reviewed the positive trajectory of Pakistan–Bangladesh relations and the renewed impetus by the deputy prime minister’s visit to Bangladesh last year”, the statement said, adding they reaffirmed their “shared commitment to further strengthening bilateral ties”.</p> <p>FO further said that the two dignitaries welcomed growing engagement between their countries, including “enhanced people-to-people contacts and improved connectivity following the commencement of direct flights this year”.</p> <p>They agreed to sustain the “positive trajectory”, the statement added.
